Dylan Dressage Saddle
Dylan Dressage Saddle
FITS TREE TYPES A/B/C
This thoughtfully designed saddle combines security, comfort, and adjustability, helping young riders develop confidence and correct position while remaining comfortable in the saddle.
Crafted from soft, grippy cowhide leather, the Dylan provides a broken-in feel from the very first ride, allowing for greater rider contact and stability. The deep, supportive seat and specially designed short exterior thigh blocks help keep young riders secure without restricting movement, making it an excellent choice for riders progressing through lessons, schooling, and competition.
The Dylan features a straighter dressage flap to encourage proper biomechanics and alignment, helping riders develop an effective dressage position. Synthetic wool flocked panels provide comfort and adjustability for the pony, while the interchangeable gullet plate system allows the saddle to adapt as your pony's shape changes.
For added fun and personalization, the Dylan includes Ruby Roo's signature Velcro cantle system, allowing riders to customize their saddle with interchangeable cantle colors and designs.

Dylan Dressage Saddle
The Dylan Dressage Saddle was specifically developed for smaller riders who need the security of a dressage saddle without being overwhelmed by adult-sized proportions. The shorter flap, shorter billet straps, and deep supportive block system help young riders maintain balance and alignment while allowing effective communication with their pony.
The secure seat encourages confidence, while the straighter dressage flap supports proper leg position and biomechanics required for dressage riding and competition.
“Perfect for young riders”
The Dylan Dressage Saddle holds your little Dressage rider in the perfect position, giving your kiddo the confidance to dance down centerline.

Ruby Roo Saddles are crafted from genuine cowhide leather and feature synthetic wool flocking, with some jump saddles also available with latex foam panels. Our saddles include adjustable iron gullet plates and lightweight poly-fiber trees, with the exception of certain Freedom trees which are constructed from wood. How do I know what seat size best fits my child?
View Answer
Seat size is determined by a combination of the space your child requires in the seat without sitting on the rise of the cantle, along with the length of the rider’s leg.
The optimum riding position is for the rider’s seat bones/pelvis to rest in the flattest part of the seat while allowing the leg to comfortably reach the knee rolls or exterior block without extending over the front of the flap.
For a more accurate evaluation, Karen Borne recommends sending a current full side-view photo of your child sitting in a saddle to rubyroosaddles@gmail.com for a complimentary consultation through Ruby Roo Saddles.
