“Perfect for young riders”
Hayden loves the comfort of her Joey Eventing Saddle. The fact that it is a monoflap is one of our favorite features and the adjustable gullet system makes it a quick switch to fit our ponies. We have seen such an improvement in her riding since acquiring this saddle. In our opinion, this Ruby Roo saddle is one of the best fitting saddles on the market for kids. Love the color choices too!

What materials are used in Ruby Roo Saddles saddles?

Ruby Roo Saddles are crafted from genuine cowhide leather and feature synthetic wool flocking, with some jump saddles also available with latex foam panels. Our saddles include adjustable iron gullet plates and lightweight poly-fiber trees, with the exception of certain Freedom trees which are constructed from wood. This combination of materials helps provide durability, adjustability, comfort, and a lightweight feel for young riders and ponies.
Does Ruby Roo Saddles offer consulting services before and after a sale?
View Answer

Her evaluation and consulting services are provided free of charge to all Ruby Roo customers and are designed to help you find the most appropriate saddle for your child, pony, and riding needs.

How do I know what seat size best fits my child?
View Answer
Seat size is determined by a combination of the space your child requires in the seat without sitting on the rise of the cantle, along with the length of the rider’s leg.
The optimum riding position is for the rider’s seat bones/pelvis to rest in the flattest part of the seat while allowing the leg to comfortably reach the knee rolls or exterior block without extending over the front of the flap.
For a more accurate evaluation, Karen Borne recommends sending a current full side-view photo of your child sitting in a saddle to rubyroosaddles@gmail.com for a complimentary consultation through Ruby Roo Saddles.
Can I place a custom order for a Ruby Roo Saddles saddle?
View Answer
Yes. From time to time, custom orders with specific color requests may be available depending on where we are in the production process. Availability for custom options can vary based on materials, scheduling, and current production timelines.
For more information regarding custom saddle requests, please contact Karen Borne directly at rubyroosaddles@gmail.com.
Does Ruby Roo Saddles offer a “buy back” or “trade-in” program for used saddles?
View Answer
At this time, Ruby Roo Saddles does not offer a saddle buy-back program. However, we are currently developing a trade-in program designed to help customers upgrade to a different saddle model or a larger seat size within their current model as their child grows.
Additional information regarding eligibility, condition requirements, and program details will be available soon.

View Answer
