Yes. The saddles shown on the Ruby Roo Saddles website are generally in stock depending on the timing of your order and current sales volume. Flap lengths on Ruby Roo Saddles saddles are measured from the stirrup bar to the bottom of the flap and are as follows:

SEAT SIZING

• 14" = 10" flap
• 14.5", 15" = 11" flap
• 15.5" = 12" flap
• 16" = 13" flap
• 16.5" = 14" flap

Ruby Roo Saddles are crafted from genuine cowhide leather and feature synthetic wool flocking, with some jump saddles also available with latex foam panels. Our saddles include adjustable iron gullet plates and lightweight poly-fiber trees, with the exception of certain Freedom trees which are constructed from wood. This combination of materials helps provide durability, adjustability, comfort, and a lightweight feel for young riders and ponies.

Yes! Owner Karen Borne is a professional saddle fitter, saddle designer, and manufacturer with years of industry experience. Her evaluation and consulting services are provided free of charge to all Ruby Roo customers and are designed to help you find the most appropriate saddle for your child, pony, and riding needs.

Karen is available both before and after your purchase for guidance regarding saddle fit, tree selection, sizing, and general support.

Seat size is determined by a combination of the space your child requires in the seat without sitting on the rise of the cantle, along with the length of the rider’s leg.

The optimum riding position is for the rider’s seat bones/pelvis to rest in the flattest part of the seat while allowing the leg to comfortably reach the knee rolls or exterior block without extending over the front of the flap.

Yes. From time to time, custom orders with specific color requests may be available depending on where we are in the production process. Availability for custom options can vary based on materials, scheduling, and current production timelines.

At this time, Ruby Roo Saddles does not offer a saddle buy-back program. However, we are currently developing a trade-in program designed to help customers upgrade to a different saddle model or a larger seat size within their current model as their child grows.

Sales tax of 8.25% is applied to orders shipped within the state of Texas in accordance with state tax regulations.

The production timeframe for a Ruby Roo Essentials custom show coat typically averages approximately 6–8 weeks depending on our current production schedule and order volume.
